I'm a postdoctoral researcher working on the NWO/CATCH project HiTiME (Historical Timeline Mining and Extraction) at the Tilburg center for Cognition and Communication (TiCC) of Tilburg University. I'm also teaching part-time the Seminar Discourse and Data Processing/Research Skills: Scripting and the Digital Heritage modules of the Human Aspects of Information Technology (HAIT) master and pre-master course cycle (together with dr.J.J. Paijmans).
Before joining TiCC, I was a researcher at the Information Extraction research group of UMIST (which currently forms part of the UK National Centre for Text Mining (NaCTeM)), at the Telecommunication Systems Institute (TSI-TUC), and finally, at the Intelligent Systems Laboratory of the Technical University of Crete.
